Dreams and Visions
(Habukkuk 2:1-2 NIV) I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the Lord replied: “Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
Vision from God - A picture of God’s purpose given to us through prayer.
(Acts 13:2-3 NIV) While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
(Joel 2:12-14 ESV) "Yet even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster. Who knows whether he will not turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him.

Dreams And Visions
(Joel 2:28-29 ESV) "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
1. Revival for our nation.
(1 Samuel 7:3-6 NIV) So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” ...On that day they fasted and there they confessed, “We have sinned against the LORD.”
2. Freedom from bondage.
(Matthew 17:19-21 NIV) Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn't we drive it out?” He replied, “But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
(Nahum 1:7, 9, 13 ESV) The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him... What do you plot against the Lord? He will make a complete end; trouble will not rise up a second time... And now I will break his yoke from off you and will burst your bonds apart.
3. Blessing over trouble.
(Ezra 8:21 NIV) I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.
4. Wisdom for my future.
(1 Kings 4:29 NIV) God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.
5. Victory over my enemy.
(Daniel 10:1-3 NIV) In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision. At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
(Nahum 2:1-2 ESV) The scatterer has come up against you. Man the ramparts; watch the road; dress for battle; collect all your strength. For the Lord is restoring the majesty of Jacob as the majesty of Israel.
