Vision For My Life
“This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”” Romans 1:17 NLT
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy…” Romans 12:1 NIV
✓ He opens our eyes.
“They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” Romans 1:19-20 NLT
✓ He credits us with righteousness.
“The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.” Romans 4:22-24 NIV
✓ He sets us free from sin.
“Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” Romans 6:14 NLT
✓ He predestines us to live for His glory.
“For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.” Romans 11:29 NLT
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.” Romans 12:1 NIV/NLT
1. We give our lives to God as worship.
“For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory.” Romans 11:36 NLT
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 NLT
2. We get rid of our sinful way of life.
“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” Romans 12:9-10 NLT
“Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well." Romans 12:3-6 NLT
3. We grow into the people God desires.
“When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” Romans 12:13 NLT
“So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly." Romans 12:6-8 NLT
4. We go after God’s plan.
“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.” Romans 12:21 NLT
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”” Matthew 28:18-20 NIV
In view of God’s mercy we live a Great Commission life.
We live a life of worship, transformation, redemption, and serving.
We exist to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and to make a difference.
We want to see the lost saved, the saved pastored, the pastored trained, and the trained mobilized.
