A God Honoring Dream

Part 1 of White Christmas
Josh Canizaro
December 6, 2015
(Ephesians 3:20 MSG) God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Dreams
Dreams are the language of God.
(Acts 2:17 NLT) ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
Dreams are the target of your faith.
(Hebrews 11:1 NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Dreams have a habit of coming true.
(Luke 1:37 NIV) For no word from God will ever fail.
A God Honoring Dream
(Jeremiah 32:17 NIV) Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
1. A God dream will seem risky.
(Hebrews 11:6 NLT) And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
2. A God dream will require God’s involvement.
(Proverbs 29:18 MSG) If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.
3. A God dream will change lives.
(Ephesians 1:11-12 MSG) It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
