Breath Of Heaven
(2 Timothy 1:16 TLB) “May the Lord bless Onesiphorus and all his family because he visited me and
encouraged me often. His visits revived me like a breath of fresh air.”
(Job 33:4 NLT) “For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
As The Wind Blows
Ruwach – a wind, breath, a violent exhalation, blast of breath.
Pneuma – a current of air, blast of breath, a strong breeze.
✓ Wind is unseen.
(John 20:29 NIV) “Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those
who have not seen and yet have believed.”
✓ Wind is unpredictable.
(John 3:8 NIV) “Jesus answered...“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot
tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
✓ Wind is powerful.
(Acts of the Apostles 2:2,4 NLT) “Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty
windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting… And everyone present was filled with the Holy
Spirit”
Fresh Air Principle #5: Get to know the person of the Holy Spirit.
1. Comfort
(John 14:16 KJV) “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide
with you forever.”
2. Conviction
(John 16:5-8 NASB) “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the
Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the
world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
3. Character
(Galatians 5:22-23 NASB) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
4. Power
(Acts 1:8 NIV) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses
in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
5. Spiritual Gifts
(1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NIV) “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit… Now to each one the
manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the
message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by
the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another
prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and
to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives
them to each one, just as he determines.”
6. Direction from God
(Acts 2:17 NIV) ”In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters
will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
✓ Let go of fears and misperceptions.
(Ephesians 4:30 Message) “Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing
in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.”
✓ Go all in.
(Acts 1:4-5 NASB) “Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for
what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard of from Me; for John baptized with water, but
you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
✓ Develop an intimate friendship with Him.
(2 Corinthians 13:14 Message) “The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.”
