“It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand that spread out the heavens above.” Isaiah 48:13 NLT
“This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place?” Isaiah 66:1 NLT
“Not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31 NLT
We made ourselves equal to God.
We made the Bible into a self-help manual.
We made salvation into an emotional way to offload guilt.
“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.” Romans 1:20-21 NLT
God is big enough to be miraculous in every moment with us.
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! !How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! !"Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" !“Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" !For from him and through him and to him are all things.!To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:33-36 NIV
1. Offer yourself to God.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1 NIV84
2. Believe in the God of the Bible.
“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” Romans 12:3 NIV84
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 NKJV
3. Start thinking like God.
1. Offer yourself to God. “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1 NIV84 2. Believe in the God of the Bible. “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” Romans 12:3 NIV84 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 NKJV 3. Start thinking like God. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 NIV84
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
Don’t tell God how big your problems are, tell your problems how big your God is!
