“But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.” Psalms 33:11 NIV
✓ Perfect
“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.” Genesis 1:31, 2:1-2 NIV
“God has a perfect plan, and the enemy has a plan too. But we don’t always know how to differentiate between the two.”
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10 NLT
✓ Relational
“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals (your children), and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:26-27 NIV
✓ Eternal
“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT
✓ Redemptive
“But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him.” Acts 2:23 NLT
“That book belongs to the lamb who was slaughtered before the creation of the world.” Revelation 13:8 GW
1. Trust God with my sin and pain.
“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in loving kindness to all who call upon You.” Psalms 86:5 NASB
“The greatest sin is pride. The greatest deceit is that we can do something about it.” — John Maxwell
2. Allow God to bring healing.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV
3. Develop a true friendship with God.
“And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.” James 2:23 NLT
4. Expect God to finish His work.
“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NIV
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NASB
