(Matthew 1:23 NLT) “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means 'God is with us.’”
We may enjoy God on the mountaintops, but we get to know Him intimately in the valleys.
In The Valley
(Psalm 84:5-7 NIV) “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.”
(Psalm 84:5 NIV) “Blessed are those whose strength is in you.”
1. Seek the strength of the Lord.
(Psalm 84:5 NIV/NLT) “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.”
2. Fix your mind.
(Psalm 84:6 NLT) “As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.”
(Psalm 84:6 KJV) “…Passing through the valley of Baca make it a well.”
3. Dig a well.
God never said you won’t go through valleys, but you never have to go through the valleys alone.
(Psalm 139:7-10 NIV) “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.“
