My Thought Life
(1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV) “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Thoughts about Thoughts:
- Thoughts can be random or generated.
- I am not at the mercy of my random thoughts.
✓ I won’t experience consequences from my decisions.

✓ I know what’s best for me.

✓ I am OK alone.

1. Godly decisions are based on the Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT) “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
2. Godly decisions are revealed by the Spirit of God.

(John 5:46-47 NASB) “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
3. Godly decisions are made with the wise people of God.
(Proverbs 13:20 NLT) “Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.”
(Proverbs 4:10-13 NLT) “My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life.”
